Parents and students are encouraged to join us this Wednesday, September 23, at 8am for SEE YOU AT THE POLE. All around the globe, in every time zone, students will be gathering at their flagpoles, praying for their school, friends, families, churches, and communities. 

For the last 25 years, See You at the Pole has been about one simple act - prayer. SYATP is about students uniting themselves in prayer before God, interceding for their generation. Come be a part of this powerful gathering.
New Hot Lunch Program
The Only Place In Town
Beginning October 1, 2015, The Only Place In Town will be our new food service provider. We are excited to partner with this beloved Sierra Madre eatery in providing delicious, nutritious lunches for our students.

Earlier today you received a message from Dr. Walner explaining the transition to this new program along with the details of how it will work.  You also received this information in today's Communication folder.

Please note the September 24th order deadline for October's menu.
Noon Dismissal: Wednesday, September 30
Extended Day RSVP Required

September 30, 2015, all BCS students will be dismissed at noon. If your student will require extended care, please use the appropriate RSVP link below:

REMEMBER you must provide lunch for your student if they are staying after noon dismissal on September 30.

Don't forget that beginning October 1, 2015, there will no longer be a basket at the sign-in table to collect your child's belongings. Each child will need to carry his/her own personal items, i.e., lunch or backpack, to the class after flag salutes.

Parents should take any needed bedding or Snack Basket donations directly to the classroom.
Amazing Athletes Demo Day

All preschool students are invited to attend the FREE sports demonstration day this Thursday, September 24, at 3pm.

Parents and students are invited to come meet Coach Brian and see how his program is designed to actively educate children while having a lot of fun!

It is already time for eighth grade families to begin looking at high school enrollment options for next fall.  A helpful resource in your search is Clairbourn's Annual High School Night .  Scheduled for Tuesday, October 6 at 7pm, this gathering of over 35 independent and private school admission representatives will allow you to ask the questions that are important to you as you begin this exciting and important season in your student's educational career.
Science In Action: JPL Open House
October 10 & 11, 2015 - 9:00am to 4:00pm

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, invites the public to its annual Open House on October 10-11, 2015. The event is free of charge and takes visitors on a "ride" through the wonders of space. Highlights include a life-size model of Mars Science Laboratory, demonstrations from numerous space missions; JPL's machine shop, where robotic spacecraft parts are built; and the Microdevices Lab, where engineers and scientists use tiny technology to revolutionize space exploration.

The 4th Annual Fall Family Festival, hosted by Bethany's PTF, will take place Saturday, October 24, and is open to the entire Sierra Madre community -- so plan to bring your family and friends!

A Group For Moms With Kids of All Ages
Mom's Group icon fall 2015

Beginning Wednesday, October 7, at 9:30am, Bethany Church will be hosting a morning fellowship opportunity and want to be sure that all BCS Moms know they are welcome to attend. It will be a place to come and learn more about walking with God, connecting with other moms, caring for one another in prayer and service, and just having some fun together.
