BIO International Convention is coming to Boston! This high profile event features 3 days of valuable symposiums, hundreds of exhibitors and hundreds of attendees. Bioscience Association of Maine is organizing the Maine Pavilion there. ME Bioscience Day 2017 was a success!
 
On November 9, 2017 BioME organized second ME Bioscience Day. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers from member and non-member bioscience companies in Maine, we were able to promote life sciences among middle school students.
This year's schools included the following communities: South Portland, Yarmouth, Gorham, Gardiner, Bangor, Augusta, Monmouth, Saco, York, Westbrook, Sanford, Cumberland and Orono.

Member Spotlight: Maine Medical Center Research Institute

The  Maine Medical Center Research Institute , located in Scarborough, has been conducting basic and translational research for over 25 years. Founded in 1991 as a division of Maine Medical Center, the research institute established its current location in 2001 and nearly doubled the size of the facility during an expansion in 2008 to support its growing research endeavors. The institute now includes four main centers of research:  Molecular Medicine ,  Clinical and Translational Research ,  Outcomes Research and Evaluation , and  Psychiatric Research .
