As part of the visit, they met with Governor Pat Quinn. Of concern are those proposed cuts to Medicaid that would have a devastating impact on the Supportive Living program. BMA Communities to Celebrate Supportive Living
All 33 of the Supportive Living communities managed by BMA will be joining with other Supportive Living communities throughout Illinois in celebrating Supportive Living Week 2012 from April 23 through 27. The theme of the week is "Taking the Mystery Out of Supportive Living." The focus will be on how the Illinois Supportive Living program is the obvious solution for seniors and adults with physical disabilities seeking an affordable residential style of living with the availability of personal assistance and support services. Exercise & Your Risk of Alzheimer's

Sales Office for 1st BMA Community in Lake County Opens
The Sales Office for the Heritage Woods of Gurnee affordable assisted living community has opened and reservations for apartments are being taken. The community, which is scheduled to open for occupancy this fall, will serve adults 65 and older of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
