Dr. Debra Atkinson M.D., founder of Serenity
 Medical Spa, has been serving the Lake of the Ozarks area as the first female physician providing aesthetic services since 2005. Dr. Atkinson is a board certified medical doctor devoting her practice to aesthetics and family medicine, combining the art of beauty with the science of wellness. Dr. Atkinson is the only female physician accepted into the Liquid Face Lift Association in Missouri, having performed over 8000 procedures personally with advanced dermal fillers and neurotoxins. Although Serenity Medical Spa has a strong male client base, the majority of our patrons are females. As a physician, wife, mother, daughter and sister, she understands the pressure placed on women in today's society and the difficulties of discussing our own insecurities or health concerns. In addition to the Liquid Face Lift (a non-surgical face contouring procedure) Dr. Atkinson also performs sclerotherapy, skin lesion evaluations and removals, mesotherapy, and hormone evaluations. As Medical Director she also supervises other services atSerenity Medical Spa, such as Ultherapy Skin tightening, Laser hair removal, IPL/skin rejuvenation, Hydradermabrasions, chemical peels, Sheerwave Body Contouring and a full line of spa services. Dr. Atkinson graduated from Tulane University with Honors, and the University Of Colorado Medical School. She continues to strive for the best practices by participating in the American Medical Association, the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, the Liquid Face Lift Association, the St. Louis Institute of Integrative Medicine, Empire Medical Training, AAFP, and the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine.
