District Hurricane Shelters Provide Comfort & Fun
BPS shelter workers were dedicated to providing community member guests with a welcoming and safe home away from home during Hurricane Irma. Throughout the storm, 17 district schools served as shelters. At each location, shelter clients had the opportunity to take part in uplifting activities such as dance classes, rock painting, talent shows and even anniversary and birthday celebrations.
