Hamish & Freya

Many times, BREW pulls perfectly healthy beagles from shelters. All they need is a spay/neuter and some vaccines and they're quickly adopted.

Sometimes it's not so easy.

Sometimes a dog is really sick...and that's when BREW's pulling a dog really means something, especially to that beagle and his future human family.

And that's what's happened with Hamish and Freya.

Hamish

We pulled these adorable beagles from a local shelter and wow, are they sick!

Freya

They have:

• Heartworms - both adults and microfilaria
• Lyme Disease antibodies - meaning they are asymptomatic but have come in contact with a tick carrying Lyme
• Hookworms
• Giardia

Because they are so sick, they can't move in to foster care yet so they will need to stay at the vet clinic for several weeks.

 

When it comes down to it, these are the beagles who need BREW the most. And we're proud to have gotten them to safety where they can get better.
