The pace of activity at BRIDG has been accelerating as we near the phase of processing wafers. In just a few short months, we expect to turn on tools for the first time, and I know current and potential partners are closely watching our every step.
Everyone at BRIDG, including me, gets so excited to see important building blocks come into place—especially with new partnerships announced—that we forget to remind ourselves this is a sustainable marathon and not a sprint. We are building the foundation that helps create hundreds and even thousands of jobs over time. While we may face challenges along this journey, every foundational “brick” adds to our ability to achieve long-term goals. And with every partnership established, we remain thankful for the public support vital to sustaining the momentum towards achieving the successes envisioned from the beginning.
In light of our latest announcement, I must comment on how thrilled I am to be partnered with Massey Services! Their initiative to deploy smart sensors to keep on the leading edge of pest prevention is extremely exciting. As I’ve said many times, these devices will be showing up in EVERY area of our lives. Come along with us as we enable tomorrow’s innovations today – at BRIDG in NeoCity!

BRIDG Announces Three New Industry Partnerships
|
|
The past several weeks have been exciting at BRIDG as we announced partnerships with three new industry partners to start off the new year – Siemens, Face International Corporation, and Massey Services.
On January 25, BRIDG joined visionary stakeholders Osceola County, the University of Central Florida, and the Florida High Tech Corridor Council to officially announce a partnership with Siemens to establish the first Semiconductor Digital Enterprise Solution at BRIDG. Valued at more than $30M, the complete Siemens’ PLM software portfolio will enable BRIDG research and development activities that help improve manufacturing throughput, improve product quality and reduce costs.
“BRIDG is in a unique position to advance innovation in the semiconductor industry as well as other industries with their smart manufacturing wafer fabrication facility dedicated to new product launch in the IoT segment,” said Rob Rudder, vice president, Siemens PLM Software. “Siemens is proud to partner with BRIDG and provide our Digital Enterprise Solution to help accelerate innovation in the manufacturing development of advanced technologies in smart sensors.”

On the heels of the Siemens announcement, we also announced collaborations with Face International Corporation and Massey Services.
Face International Corporation, a technology company with more than 60 patents, will work with BRIDG on the development and integration of the Evercell™ power cell, a patented energy-harvesting technology that may be capable of powering wireless IoT sensors without batteries. In efforts to commercialize the Evercell technology, BRIDG and Face intend to cooperatively undertake technology validation for product integration development and prototype manufacturing of Evercell™ power cells.
Massey Services, the nation’s fifth largest pest management company, will partner with BRIDG to co-develop products utilizing BRIDG’s microelectronics facility and leverage cutting edge sensor technology to further benefit its customers and businesses. Harvey L. Massey, Chairman and CEO of Massey Services, has been heavily involved with the evolution of BRIDG since the beginning stages of its inception. His visionary role and unwavering support have been essential pieces to bringing BRIDG to fruition.
“I have always believed that BRIDG will be one of the most successful technology projects this community has ever seen,” said Massey. “The best-in-class research and development facility will continue to drive forward innovative products that will have significant impact on how companies can influence their customer’s daily lives.”
