Scottish EDGE Round 11 received a total of 242 applications, where 135 were new applicants.

31% of applicants were female led businesses.

222 applications were from limited companies.

80 applications were from Edinburgh and the east.

Not everyone will be interested in this, but we have no doubt you'll know someone who would love this. An app that allows you to interior decorate spaces in homes from around the world with access to digital versions of real-life furniture.

The app should come with a warning since it has taken over one of our own team-members lives... but do check it out. If you like design, it is highly addictive.
Hustlers Need to Know their Numbers: The importance of basic maths in starting a business
To celebrate Maths Week Scotland, join us to discover why Hustlers need to know their numbers on Thursday. Successful start-ups need three key people on the team, a Hipster, a Hacker and a Hustler. The Hipster brings the creative design and cool factor, the Hacker brings their ability to build technology solutions, and the Hustler finds the right way to package it all up and take it to the market. It is a combination that works provided the Hustler knows their numbers!
Changing Perceptions: Putting the Trans in Transparency; Our Rights, Our Community, Our Future
As part of Inclusion Week, we're running a Changing Perceptions event on Tuesday, 26 September 2017, from 13:30 to 16:30. This interactive workshop will welcome a broad range of experts on the panel. All told, the panel is representative of a widely diverse and realistic population in the trans community from within and outside Edinburgh Napier University.

Morgan Innovation and Technology Prize 2017
With support from Santander, MIAT have launched the Morgan Innovation & Technology Prize, which will award £30,000 worth of R&D services to the winner in order to take their idea to the next stage of development.

The prize will be awarded to the entry that the judges feel has the potential to make the biggest impact and will make best use of the prize to further their idea.
