Right now we still have cards for all stores and will try to publish a list of available cards each month. So please, BUY-BUY-BUY NOW while you can still get what you want.
Tikun L'el Shavuot: A Night of Study in Honor of Shavuot
Tuesday, May 30th
Join us for a Tikun L'el Shavuot - a night of study in honor of the holiday of Shavuot, which celebrates the giving of the Torah at Sinai. Just as our ancestors waited for redemption on the eve of Passover, we prepare for revelation through the study of Torah. Previous generations would study all night in anticipation of receiving the Torah. Our community is doing something a bit more modest, some special classes with the themes of Shavuot in mind.
On Tuesday night, May 30th, beginning at 6 pm, we will have a dairy dinner followed by a Yom Tov service and two classes: on Torah and on The Book of Ruth. We will also provide dessert. Dinner will be $10 per person. The service and the study are free, though we request that you register so we may get a sense of about how many people to expect. Join us as we study in honor of God, the People of Israel and the Gift of Torah.
Please RSVP by May 25th by contacting Dawn Steigelfest at 860-659-4029, then send your check (made out to BSBI) and this form to her at 26 Tamarac Drive, Glastonbury, CT 06033, or bring it with you to the dinner (before the start of the service). You may also sign up online here.
Our monthly Shabbat programs will be wrapping up for summer at the end of May. Stay tuned to future announcements for details on when they will start up again later in the year.

SUPPORT OUR JEWISH CAMPERS
THROUGH SISTERHOOD SCHOLARSHIPS
Wednesday, June 7th
Join us at Manchester Country Club for a fun evening for dinner and other surprises. Sisterhood already has given a scholarship, through our BSBI Scholarship Committee, that helps pay for the camp. It was thought that it would be also good to help pay for the various sundries that are necessary for campers to take with them to camp.
Our children are our future, and Jewish camps ground them in the Jewish community; therefore it is critical to ensure that all our kids can get a good camp experience, regardless of financial circumstances. This event is a nice supper out on a week night, and the proceeds from the dinner and any extra donations will help this critically important cause.

The 21st Annual
Todd Abitz Memorial
Each year, the Brotherhood of BSBI organizes The Todd Abitz Memorial Golf Tournament to raise funds for charity, including the Brotherhood's support of our temple. This year, the Brotherhood has teamed with Manchester Brotherhood in Action. Many of you are familiar with Brotherhood in Action, which holds a charity breakfast each year to support local families with children who have life threatening conditions. Together, we will be presenting the TAMGT this year on June 14th at Blackledge Country Club in Hebron. We hope for your support for this community charity effort.
If you golf or know anyone who does, please consider our Tournament. If you do not golf, there are many ways you can still participate. Come to dinner for a great evening of kosher food, an entertaining speaker, chances to win in our raffle and the excitement of our auction. And consider a gift of goods or services we can raffle or auction to raise funds for this worthy cause. Volunteer during the day to help us put on the Tournament. If you have any questions, please feel free to speak to one of the Tournament co-chairs: Spin Zucker, Glenn Hauer and Jack Steigelfest.
It's that time of year already! RLWRS families probably have received your registration for the 2017-2018 school year. Please respond as soon as possible so we can plan accurately for the next school year.
