The Burlington Township Board of Education recently accepted the resignation of longtime Board Member Israel "Izzy" Rivera. Mr. Rivera was honored during the November Board of Education meeting. His resignation is effective December 31, 2017. His resignation resulted in an opening on the board for a one-year unexpired term.
At the public work session on December 13, 2017, the Board appointed Mrs. Antoinette Minors-Ferguson to the position of Board Member for the unexpired term, which runs from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. This appointment will be re-affirmed at the meeting to be held on December 20, 2017. Mrs. Antoinette Minors-Ferguson recently ran for election to the Board and was the candidate with the most votes that was not elected to fill a seat. The Board took this into consideration when making their determination. Congratulation Mrs.Minors-Ferguson on your appointment!
