Its all about the story
One of the things I love most about BTS is the commitment to teach the Bible as a larger story -- the story of God on mission, redeeming and restoring all of fallen creation for his glory. The Bible, as well as life, makes much more sense when placed in the context of this larger narrative. Keeping the story of God on mission in focus has been helpful for me in processing the transitions happening at the seminary: our move to Philadelphia and the name change to Missio Seminary. Here is a short booklet that was put together by faculty and staff telling the story behind the changes. It was helpful for me, and I hope it will be for you as well.

Enjoy the rest of this newsletter, featuring a video from Dr. Cindy Parker on the biblical concept of radical hospitality, updates on some of your fellow alums, upcoming news/opportunities, and ways to stay connected with us. I pray you all will find time to rest, play, laugh, and worship in fresh ways this summer.

Grateful for your Partnership,

Paul Zazzo, MS, MDiv '02

The Power of Radical Hospitality

Faculty Corner
Dr. Cindy Parker: Radical Hospitality

On May 19, 2018 at Liberti Church in Philadelphia Cyndi Parker, Steve Taylor, Kyuboem Lee, and others taught a one-credit course titled The Power of Radical Hospitality.

In the short video to the right, Dr. Parker gives a highlight of the class that focused on the subject of loving the foreigner among us.

Korean Alumni Gathering

On August 13-15 several Korean students and graduates gathered together with their families in Orlando for three days of worship, fellowship, prayer, and teaching, in addition to a lot of laughter and fun. It is encouraging to see how the KSF continues to be a strong community well beyond their seminary years.
