I am so grateful to be a part of a school that is equipping missional leaders to follow Jesus into the world (literally). It is exciting to me that in addition to training pastors and counselors, we are equipping business leaders, teachers, medical professionals, lawyers, chaplains, entrepreneurs, co mmunity leaders, and many more. You are the heart of our seminary and we are proud of you!

This year, we are making an intentional effort to re-connect with our alumni.  Our desire is to build upon the relationship that was established during your time as a student here, and continue to serve, support, and encourage you in your ministry You are a critical part of the BTS family, and as we take this next step in growing our influence throughout Philadelphia and the northeast corridor, your feedback, prayers, and support are invaluable.

We look forward to your deepening role in our future, and invite you to connect with us as we move forward.

Faculty Corner
Dr. Todd Mangum: What I Learned from a Semester on Sex.

Greetings, alumni! I trust this finds you well and prospering in spirit and body. I know that as you
follow Jesus into the world, you are doubtless undergoing some sort of transition in life, in ministry -  with the Spirit leading and guiding you, I hope. We are at Biblical and I am, personally,
i n a season of transition, too (see below). I look forward to being able to share our walk-with-God stories face to face someday soon.Till then, be blessed by this new article.

One big reason I asked to get out of academic administrative duties once the accreditation was... more

Upcoming Events & News

Spiritual Formation Retreat Day
Thursday, March 15, 9am-3pm @ BTS Campus

All mission flows from our formation in Christ. This is a truth we all know and embrace, but the reality is that the stress of ministry, the noise of culture, and the busyness of life often interfere with our ability to slow down in the presence of God and learn to listen to Him. If this describes you (and it probably does), you cannot afford not to join us. The cost is $25 which includes lunch (until March 8, then price goes to $30). Full and partial scholarships are available - do not let price keep you from coming for this incredible day!

Registration opens next week. Contact Paul Zazzo for more information.

Marketplace Ministry Event
Held on March 23 from 7:30-12:45pm, this conference will feature Dr. Jeff Van Duzer, moderated by Univest Executive VP John Duerkson. This event will bring together business owners and leaders in the region to explore the topics of "The Purpose and Practice of Business" and "Living it Out in the Messy Middle." Registration opens soon. Contact Charles Blachford for more information.

Schedule a BTS "Lunch & Learn"
Held on location at your site and for the benefit of your ministry colleagues, church leadership, or anyone interested.

In an effort to get out and connect with more alumni and church networks, BTS is coming to you.  These 75 minute gatherings will include a relevant teaching/discussion time led by one of our faculty members for your ongoing learning and continued professional development.  The best part is we are offering this for FREE to you, our alumni!

We are looking for host alumni/churches who are willing to provide meeting space and a simple lunch (if possible, otherwise, brown bag is good too!), and get the word out to others in your network.  If you are ready and willing to host a "lunch and learn" in your area, contact Paul Zazzo to get started!

Upcoming One-Day Class: "Immigration and the Bible"  - Dr. Cyndi Parker -  Saturday, May 19 9:30am-4:30pm

This class will equip you biblically, culturally, and practically for the following:
  1. Discover significant Old and New Testament perspectives on engaging the stranger among us with the intention of encouraging participants to dig deeper into the truths of Scripture.
  2. Understand important, non-verbal, cultural issues for Muslim immigrants.
  3. Purposefully and confidently engage with immigrants-particularly our Muslim neighbors.

For more information on registration contact the academic office.
