School Update:

This is to provide our school community with an update regarding the readiness status of our schools. Our facilities are ready for operation with the exception of the middle school, which has been without power since early yesterday. The estimated time for the restoration of power is Saturday, however we are hopeful it will be restored sooner. District, Township, and County officials have been working with PSE&G to register our issue and request escalation.
The Middle School houses over 950 students. We cannot house these students in other buildings. Additionally, we cannot run one building separately on another date. Therefore, we must close the district if one of our buildings is not operational.
A decision will be made regarding the status of school no later than 5:00 A.M. tomorrow. If schools are closed or delayed, we will activate our normal emergency notification protocols.
