AGC MA Announces the Launching of
The Boston Construction Managers Safety Partnership  
 
The Boston CMSP is a group of experienced and passionate construction safety professionals from the leading CM's in the Boston region.  Their mission is to align CM's on key issues that impact the safety of construction trades people in the Boston area.  They will achieve this mission by (1) determining key issues that will improve efficiency and consistency among Boston's subcontractor base in regards to execution of safety, (2) developing strategies, policies and practices that create consistent and streamlined execution of safety on construction projects across all CM's, (3) engaging experienced and expert personnel from Boston's trade representatives, trades people and subcontractor core to aid in the development of these strategies, policies and procedures, and (4) implementing these strategies, policies and procedures across all of the CMSP members' projects.


AGC MA & MCAP Online
Scholarship Program

AGC MA and the Massachusetts Construction Advancement Program (MCAP) gives out scholarship awards each year to deserving men and women who are enrolled in a construction or civil engineering degree program.
Scholarships are given out in early fall of each year. The deadline to submit applications is June 1st. Scholarship submissions are now open and can be accessed here.

AGC MA is searching for a new candidate to fill the role of Director of Member Services.

 
 
Joe Kelly, the current Director of Member Services since 2014 is leaving AGC on March 1 to start his own company, Mass. Construction Consultants, Inc. His new company will offer code consulting, permitting, NFPA 241 plans, and related educational programs for contractors. 

We have valued Joe's tremendous contributions to AGC MA during his time here on Staff and wish Joe the very best!

On Friday, March 2nd, AGC MA welcomes Mary Nardone, Associate V.P., Capital Projects and Kevin Ruby, Associate Director Annual Capital Projects, Boston College.
 
The Capital Projects Management Department is responsible for the engineering, planning, documentation, and construction management of Boston College's Capital Improvement Plan. The plan is coordinated into two strategic components: the Annual Capital Plan and the Major Construction Plan, which comprise as many as 150 ongoing projects throughout the calendar year.
