Back 2 School Bash!

Robertson County Schools will be back in business next week and County Mayor Howard Bradley is celebrating with his annual Back 2 School Bash! This is the fifth year for the bash and thanks to the generosity of local businesses this year's bash is set to be one of the best! The first 500 students to stop by Springfield Middle School this Saturday, August 3 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon will receive a free backpack loaded with school supplies.  Moms and dads, mark your calendars and get the kids set with everything they need to start the school year off right.

Adopt A Teacher At Springfield Middle!
Dr. Grant Bell, Principal of Springfield Middle School, is once again offering his teachers up for adoption by local businesses through SMAATSpringfield Middle Adopt A Teacher program. Last year over 43 businesses got a first hand look at the good things going on at SMS by adopting a teacher. Through the program, business leaders are invited to visit the campus twice during the school year to greet students and teachers as they arrive to start the day. Once matched with a teacher, business representatives are also welcomed into the classroom, some even as part of the curriculum. This program is a great way for businesses to show support for our teachers and students, and to get a better understanding of what goes on during a typical school day. If your business is interested in being matched up with a teacher contact Kathy Gunn here.
