We will be back at our usual venue this week. No doubt there will still be some Grand Prix paraphernalia around but we'll manage to get around that. This will be the last week before we'll be running in the dark when daylight saving ends, so come down and enjoy it.
It has been a big week for Gunnies this week ...
Bowling last night uncovered some unknown talent - Iko finished her game with 4 strikes in a row (!) and Steph topped the scoring with 168. We had dinner afterwards upstairs at Father's Office and it was a fun night.
Quite a few Gunnies ran in the Run for the Kids last Sunday and some went to a café in Fed Square for brunch afterwards. It was a well-organised event for a great cause - highly recommended.
Weekly Run Info
Tuesday night runs are 5km or 3.5km. Cost is $5 which includes a free beer or wine afterwards. Meet at the Limerick Arms at 6:15pm for a 6:30pm start. Stay around for a meal afterwards. Public transport to Limerick Arms is tram no. 12 (stop no. 129) or tram no. 1 (stop 24).
Remember - if you bring a first-timer, you will run for free!
Canberra Running Festival
A few Gunnies are serious about going to Canberra for the Running Festival on April 14-15, with 5km and 10km on Saturday and half-marathon and marathon on Sunday. Talk to Karl if you're keen. Register here.
Puffing Billy 'Great Train Race'
This is on 29 April this year. Talk to Al or Karl if you are interested in car pooling. I hear this is a tough run! Details here.
Great Ocean Road
An old favourite for Gunn Runners. 18-19 May at Apollo Bay. 6km and 14km runs on Saturday, then half-marathon and marathon on Sunday.  Talk to others on Tuesday nights if you want to share accommodation or transport. More details here.
There are plenty of fun and more serious runs in and around Melbourne and further afield, click here to check out upcoming events on Cool Running or or the  Running Calendar

We spend far too much time complaining about the way things are, and forget that we have the power to change anything and everything.
