District News & Updates
Fire Season Updates: PG&E Power Cuts & Weed Abatement

PG&E has announced power cuts in certain areas during extreme weather conditions to prevent fires. Much of El Dorado Hills is a PG&E service area, and the District encourages all residents to visit PG&E's website for more details about power cuts, updating emergency broadcast contact information, and how to prepare a power outage emergency kit.

Additionally, the District enco urages residents to be proactive in preventing fires through weed abatement and creating defensible space on your property. In collaboration with the El Dorado Hills Fire Department, the District has conducted weed abatement to create defensible space on all CSD-owned and -maintained properties over the last few months. For more information about weed abatement and reducing fire risk on your property, please contact the El Dorado Hills Fire Department: 916-933-6623.

Improvement Projects at Community Park

Gym Floor Replacement
Pardon our dust! We're kicking off a gym floor replacement project at Community Park (1021 Harvard Way) over the next few weeks. This project starts August 8 and will last approximately seven weeks through late September. The existing floor sustained water damage several years ago, and this project will overlay a new maple hardwood floors that should last 60 years. This project will interrupt youth and adult fall basketball, pickleball, and drop-in basketball. Winter basketball registration will open in a few weeks. For more information, see the article in Village Life or contact the Registration Office: 916-933-6624.

Lost and Found

Don't you hate it when the realization that you're missing something important ruins a perfect day at the park? Luckily, many lost items are found and turned into the District's Registration Office (1021 Harvard Way)! The Registration Office holds Lost and Found items for 30 days, after which the District donates unclaimed items to our community partners for recycling, reusing, or repurposing. If you've lost anything at any of our parks recently, stop by the Registration Office to see if we have your missing item!
