Backyard Butterfly Gardening

This class is appropriate for adults and families with children ages 6 and up. Tina Stanly, Huntsville Botanical Garden's manager of the Butterfly House will show you how to grow a garden that will attract Monarchs and other local butterflies. We will cover the best host plant choices for butterflies and go over ways to keep your butterfly garden attractive year round. Each participant will receive a milkweed plant or seeds to plant in your garden at home. $15 per family.

9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.


Each day has its own independent theme and activities to enjoy. You can send your camper just one day of all of them. We will explore butterflies, plants and so much more.

Design your own camp by choosing how many days you want to come! Come the full week and save!

Members $40/day, Non-members $50/day
All 3 days: Members $100, Non-members $130

Members, are you interested in becoming a Docent for the Garden?  Good news, the Docent training has been schedule. 

Our 1st session will be on Monday, May 21st beginning at 10 am.

 

The rest of the sessions are all at 10 am:  Tuesday, May 29th  and  Monday, June 4th , 11th , June 18th, and June 25th

 

Our Docents guide tours of the Garden.  If you have a passion for the Garden and enjoy teaching or public speaking, you would make a great Docent.  Contact Anita at adaniel@hsvbg.org for more information.
