"Attorney General Jeff Sessions wants to make sure cities don't get federal public safety grants if they refuse to cooperate with immigration officials....
Pray for our Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Ask the Lord to grant him wisdom in dealing with the legal ramifications of upholding federal statutes that are being defied in cities across the country.
Pray Titus 3:1.

"Federal taxpayer funding generally isn't allowed to be spent on abortions, but Republicans say they have spotted a loophole in which tax-free municipal bonds have been used to put federal cash on the line in order to help build abortion clinics.. .  . .
Pray that this loophole would be closed for the sake of the unborn.
Pray Gen 1:28.

APPEALS COURT RULES FED MUST ASSIST ABORTION IN TEXAS

"The federal appeals court in the District of Columbia ruled Tuesday that an illegal immigrant girl must be granted access to an abortion even over objections of the federal government, saying the Trump administration had "bulldozed over constitutional lines."
The full U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit overruled a three-judge panel, which last week gave the government until the end of the month to find a sponsor for the girl, identified only as "J.D." in court documents.
The 17-year-old, who is being held in a government-run shelter in Brownsville, Texas, now may obtain an abortion." ( Washington Times)

On October 15th, actress Alyssa Milano asked her twitter followers to reply, "Me too" and share their personal experiences of being sexually harassed or assaulted. This came as a response to the surge of devastating sexual harassment claims against Hollywood mogul, Harvey Weinstein. .  . .
Pray for the Lord to break the cycle of sexual brokenness we see all over the world today. Cry out to Him for sexual purity in the Church.
Pray Matt 5:28.

Last week, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia held that the House did not have to allow an atheist to deliver the opening prayer as a guest chaplain.   Of note from the opinion, the court held that "Despite Mr. Barker's repeated attempts to characterize his claims as not.  . . ."
Give thanks to God for reason and common sense winning the day in this most unfortunate waste of time for our court system.
