The 2016 Annual Choir Camp will be held 
at Camp Burton on Vashon Island.  
Please see detailed Choir Camp Information email sent yesterday to all  Advanced Chorale and Concert Choir families.

All senior families are invited to come and celebrate Senior Band Night with their senior and have their picture taken with Mr. James.

Autumn Leaf Parade in Leavenworth 
Saturday, September 24
We will need 10 - 12 adult chaperones for this event.  Please contact  Ingrid Riley if you are able to attend.  Look for further details in next week's newsletter.
ORCHESTRA
Orchestra Camp 
Friday, September 23 - Sunday September 25. 

The 2016 Annual Orchestra Camp will be held 
at Camp Burton on Vashon Island.  

This retreat is required for all members of Chamber and Symphonic Orchestra.
 
Students need to be in the BHS Parking Lot by 
3:30 PM on Friday 9/23. Dinner will be served at camp  on Friday evening.  Students will return to BHS around  2:00 PM on Sunday.  Orchestra families please look for a detailed Orchestra Camp Information email later this week.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Magnolia Menchie's last week to support the Ballard Performing Arts Wind Ensemble trip to NYC!
Menchie's will be donating $200 to BPA!

Look for another Menchie's day in the future. 

NYC Wind Ensemble Trip Fundraiser Update.

If you checked out Brown Bear Car Wash tickets last spring or over the summer, please bring your money in an envelope with your name on it to the black box as soon as possible. Your student account will be credited based on money collected.
Money will be picked up tonight, September 13th, after the BPA Booster meeting. More tickets can be checked out after the meeting.   Don't forget that $5.50 from every ticket goes directly in your student account.
900 tickets have been distributed. If all are sold, nearly $5,000 will have been raised to offset the cost of the NYC trip.   Please contact Carolyn Dunn  with any questions.

DRAMA

Auditions for The Foreigner 
will take place today after school on the main stage. All interested students should have picked up the audition packet from Mr. Riley and completed all forms.  Stay tuned for cast list, show time and ticket information.

ANNUAL FEE REMINDER
The Ballard Performing Arts Annual Fee goes to fund the majority of the operating expenses of the music programs. These include sheet music, festival fees, transportation, instrument purchase, and repair, uniform purchase, maintenance, and cleaning.
