BHS Jazz Combo groups Benefit Concert: 
Join us for an evening of Jazz featuring the musicians of the BHS Instrumental Jazz groups on Wed, April 25th in the Performing Arts center at 7:30 pm.
Admission is free, however donations are gladly accepted and encouraged.
Donations can be made at the concert or online HERE.
All donations are tax deductible and will go to support the BPA
instrumental Jazz program and the upcoming Essentially Ellington trip.

Booster/ Mattress  + Meeting/Party: Join us in the Ballard Library for the May 8th  Booster Meeting.There will be a quick business meeting at  6:30 pm  followed by a celebration of this year's Ballard Performing Arts at  7 pm  with a presentation for our next fundraiser. Drop by when you can for cake and sparkling water. The Boosters make $5 on our upcoming mattress fundraiser for every person who attends! Really.

Seattle JazzED Summer Camps:  Seattle JazzED is a non-profit music education organization in the Central District. They are dedicated to creating opportunities for kids and ensuring access for all with scholarships and instrument loan assistance.

Band  

Whistler Trip Tomorrow: We are looking forward to a fun weekend at the Con Brio Festival in Canada. Below are last-minute reminders to help the trip go smoothly:

1)  Check-in time at BHS at 7:40am. The bus departs at 8:00am.
2)  Identification - There are some students and parents with incomplete ID requirements. Please bring it Thursday morning or you will be left behind at BHS!
3)  Uniforms - Remember to pack your full Concert attire  and  your Band shirt.
4)  Instruments and Music - Enough said. 
5)  Warm Clothes - The temperature will range from the low 20's to low 40's, and there is a chance of snow in the forecast Saturday. Be sure to pack a warm jacket, boots and other cold weather accessories.
6)  Money - You will need enough for four lunches and snacks, and a souvenir if you so choose.
7) Chaperones- Please arrive at 7:15am to receive your student paperwork for the weekend and a briefing.

Jazz II Musicians Save The Date: On May 8th from 3:45 pm to 8:30 pm, Jazz II will participate in an afternoon of guest instructors, sectionals and other fun group activities. More details coming soon, but feel free to contact  Mara Lim if you have any questions.

Concert and Advanced Choirs: see you at 6:30am at the Seatac Alaska Counter and don't forget the sunscreen (in a cary-on size of course) and cookies for your chaperones.

Advanced & Concert Choirs Southern California Trip and Festival Itineraries: 
For the Festival Schedule, Advanced Chorale is "Ensemble 1" and Concert Choir is "Ensemble 2".

State Solo & Ensemble Competition: April 27th  in Ellensburg
Chamber Choir, Mens Ensemble, and Vocal Jazz are participating in the competitions. Drivers and chaperones are needed. Email Page if you can help.
