Because of the church retreat, we will have
only one worship service at 11:00 a.m. this Sunday, March 11th
to celebrate the 4th Sunday in Lent. A nursery will be provided during worship for infants  through preschool age children. Please note that, with the exception of the S&D Class, Sunday School classes will not meet on Sunday, March 11th.

 This Sunday, March 11th, we will recognize the blessing that Girl Scouts bring to our mission and ministry here at First Presbyterian Church. Please come ready to celebrate with our scouts and thank them for all that they do! The Girl Scouts invite everyone to join them in the courtyard after the 11:00 a.m. service for Girl Scout cookies and lemonade. |

On Wednesday, March 14th, Peter Bynum will lead a presentation and discussion on "Prayer and Biblical Hospitality." Particular focus will be given to how these themes have influenced our new strategic plan.
Menu: chicken pot pie, rice, collards, green beans, fruit, salad and dessert.

Backpack Volunteers Needed

The Missions Committee of the Coordinating Team for the Presbyterian Women is in need of helpers to pack  the school backpacks starting in September 2018, as our dear Hannah Monroe (who has been helping with this project) will be leaving for college. | You are invited to lend your voice to help lead the congregational singing during the early worship service on Sunday mornings. Just arrive at 8:30 a.m. on Sundays in the sanctuary and meet Jacquie Yost at piano. Join youth (6th-8th grade) from all over to worship, play, and explore the theme "Y'all Are Mine" in Massanetta Springs, Virginia, July 5-8, 2018
Cost: $200 per youth, $150 for the second youth in the family. Deposit: $50 per youth due by 3/12/18
Montreat High School Conference:
Join with youth (9th-12th grade) from all over the country to play, worship, and fellowship as we explore the theme "Lift Every Voice" in Montreat, North Carolina, July 22-28, 2018.
Cost: $225 per youth, $175 for the second youth in the family. Deposit: $50 per youth due by 3/12/18
