Barnes & Noble Bookfair to Support Binder Park Zoo!

Join Binder Park Zoo and Barnes & Noble for a special Disney sing-a-long event at the bookstore on March 12th from 1 to 3pm. Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of every sale made to Binder Park Zoo!

You can also support Binder Park Zoo by shopping at any Barnes & Noble any time between March 5th and March 19th and telling the cashier you wish to support Binder Park Zoo, or shop online at  www.bn.com/bookfairs  from March 5 to March 24 and include the Bookfair voucher ID (ID# 11813250) on the payment page during checkout.

Battle Creek Brigham Audubon - Free Community Programs

Mark your calendars for the  second Wednesday at 7pm of each month and make plans to join us for the m onthly Battle Creek Brigham Audubon  meetings. Programs take place in the Zoo's Administration Building with  a different topic each month ranging from habitat management to updates on bird conservation and general birding knowledge. CONSERVATION CANVAS: SNOWY OWL



Join Binder Park Zoo and artist Dee Seymour for the first Conservation Canvas event on Friday, February 26 from 6:30pm-9:30pm to help support conservation. Meet Hedwig our snowy owl, and learn about her life at the Zoo. Then create your very own snowy owl masterpiece with guidance from artist Dee Seymour. Enjoy a delicious appetizer and beverages from Taste of the Wild Catering. Program cost $65/person and includes appetizer, beverages, canvas and supplies. Dee is an experienced and talented artist who has taught all ages. She was a long time teacher for KCC and BCPS.  For more information, please call (269) 979-1351. Electronic Recycling Event - February 26th

Gather up all of your electronic waste and bring it out to the Zoo for our first Electronic Recycling event of the year on Friday February 26th from 3-7:30pm. Emerald eCycling will be onsite collecting these items:

Desktop Computers, Laptop Computers, Tower Computers, CRT Monitors (fee applies), Flat Screen-LCD Monitors, Printers, Keyboards, Mice, Scanners, Fax Machines, Hard Drives, CD ROMs / DVDs, Computer Peripherals, Docking Stations, Modems, WIFI routers, Network switches, Cables and cords, Cell Phones, Tablets, iPods, MP3 players ,DVD Players, CD Players, Tape Players, PDAs, Gaming Consoles and Peripherals, Radios, Stereos, Speakers, VCRs, Small Household Appliances, Microwaves, Calculators, Remote Controls, Cameras, Telephones and phone systems, Overhead Projectors, Banking Equipment, UPS (personal & network), Servers, Mainframes, Power Network Cables, Controllers, Network hubs and switches, Routers and firewalls, Terminals, Copy Machines (fee applies) and Risograph Machines. 

Items NOT accepted include: televisions, alkaline batteries, smoke detectors or appliances that contain Freon.

Tour de Zoo August 25th - Register Early and Save! 

Join us on Thursday, February 25th at  Team Active in Battle Creek for their End of Winter Festival or on Saturday, February 27th at  Binder Park Golf Course for their Fat Fest Relays register early for Tour de Zoo and SAVE!   Early registrants will receive an early registration  discount and giveaway from New Belgium Brewing Company and Atlas Sales.

The Zoo will be onsite at Team Active on February 25th from 12-3pm and at Binder Park Golf Course on February 27th from 5-8pm.
