Then you might be Fountain Valley's next Shining Star. Interested; read more about
Disneyland Resort Dreamers & Doers program
As part of Disney's commitment to supporting youth and the community, Dreamers & Doers was established to recognize young men and women who are the driving force for positive change through service.
Specifically, high school students will be singled out for "creating a brighter tomorrow" in these four focus areas: Strengthen Communities, Think Creatively, Conserve Nature and Live Healthier.
Students attending an Orange County public, private or charter high school can download an application from the
Disneyland Resort Public Affairs
website. Completed forms must be submitted to their school's main offices by Oct. 31.
Each Orange County high school can select up to two Dreamers & Doers, who will have the opportunity to win prizes including Disneyland Resort park tickets, hotel stays and money for their school.
In February, 60 students from 40 different OC high schools were picked to be "Shining Stars" and six earned distinction as "Luminaries," capping the program's first year. Along with attending a luncheon with their family, friends and school representatives, the students were invited to a day-long educational symposium focusing on leadership development and collaborative problem-solving.
The program's application is very simple with just nine brief questions.
The deadline to submit is today, October 31, 2016. After submitting please print and turn in a copy to the principal's office.
