The spirit of the Olympics filled the air at Baroody Camps! Campers
celebrated their own versions of various Olympic events and celebrated the spirit of unity that is represented by the Olympic rings.  Campers enjoyed another exciting week of Dance Camp with 5-6-7-8 Instructors and Basketball Camp with Coach Ruck!

Arts & Craftivities

Campers used their creative skills to bring the Olympic spirit to life!  They learned about the history of the games and why many Olympic symbols represent unity and the enduring joy of the games!

In honor of the Olympics being hosted in Rio campers made Brazilian bread and Olympic Ring Cupcakes and pretzels.  What a fun week in the kitchen with Baroody!

Hypotheses & Theories

During Olympic Week our campers discovered the science behind many of the famous events.  Did you know that Bernoulli's principle comes into play during the bike racing events or swimming?  It's incredibly important for athletes to have powerful reaction times so that they are the first off the block or out of the starting gate.  Our campers enjoyed working on these skills this week!

Fit Kids

        A Hop, skip, & a jump

This was a great week for Fit Kids!  We had the chance to create our own Olympic events, participate in Wacky Olympics or our version of the Pentathalon!

-Japanese Chopstick Relay
-Chinese Dragon Race
-Bobsled
-Gymnastics
-Shot Put Coin Toss
-Marathon Shuffle
