Volume 1 No. 9
The Frontier International Academy opened its doors as a high school including grades 9-12 in the year 2005, and is now expanding to include grades K-5 beginning in the fall of 2017-2018.

The added elementary school will be located at 28111 Imperial Drive in Warren, MI. The charter school is tuition free and is now enrolling students for the upcoming school year.

The Academy plans to add grades 6-8 in the following three years, adding one grade per year.

The Academy's mission is to promote lifelong learning by nurturing academic excellence, positive character and an appreciation of cultures.
Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy was founded as Mt. Clemens Montessori School in 1970 and was one of the first Montessori schools in the greater Detroit metropolitan area. As a pioneer in the Montessori philosophy and educational system and the only school of its kind in Macomb County, it has been instrumental over the years in developing other Montessori centers in Macomb County, St. Clair County and Wayne County.

It has facilitated and initiated training of their staff, housing courses, hosting guest speakers of interest to both parents and teachers from area schools, and assuming a leadership position among Montessori schools in the area. Bay Mills authorized the school during the summer of 2003, and the Mt. Clemens Montessori School became Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy.

The quality, care and academic excellence that has been provided by Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy has led to many state-wide and national awards. Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy has been designated a Michigan School of Excellence. This honor was earned by having a three-year average proficiency rate of at least 90% in reading and math in the MEAP tests. Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy is the 2nd highest performing elementary school in Macomb County.

Every student that has attended Mt. Clemens Montessori has gone on to graduate high school. An astounding 95% of our alumni have completed college. Even more noteworthy is that 50% of the college graduates have continued their education in graduate and professional schools such as Business, Law and Medicine. Most gratifying to us is that all students who have contacted us, whether at high school level or graduate level, attribute their love for learning to their early experiences at Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy. Mt. Clemens Montessori alumni have attended universities such as Emory, Harvard, Yale, Tufts, Tulane, University of Michigan, Michigan State University and Wayne State University.
