"I'm emailing you regarding opportunities to volunteer and help get involved in your organization. I have never volunteered before but somehow mustered up the courage as its something I've always wanted to do....be a part of real change and be around people who are dedicated to building a better community. Please let me know what the next steps to take are!"

Lately I've shared notes from residents who have appreciated the helping hands of volunteers. However, I received this message just last week from someone who wants to volunteer for the first time. This message is a great challenge to each of us to step out and help others and I would invite you to participate in ECM as one way to do that!

Mayor Hancock Visits ECM

We had a very special guest visit our ECM Work Day on August 10 - Mayor Michael Hancock! As part of the Denver Days week-long celebration of connecting Denver neighbors, Mayor Hancock came to visit some of the different projects taking place and ECM was one of them.

Mark your calendars now for our fourth annual ECM fundraiser "Art is in the Air" on Friday, November 8 from 7:00-9:30 pm. We have already gathered an impressive list of silent auction items, with many more great things in store. The event will take place at the Artwork Network gallery in the Art District on Santa Fe. More details to come so stay tuned.
