Candle Lighting, Services, Office and School Closures 
March 30
  • Following Minyan, a Siyum (short study session) for Fast of the First Born will be held
  • Got  chametz ?  Sell it online or call the office by 8:30 a.m. You may eat chametz until 10:46 a.m. on March 30 and then again beginning at 7:50 p.m. on April 7
  • Preschool closes at 3:00 p.m. 
  • No Kabbalat Shabbat service. If you need to say the Mourner's Kaddish, please contact Rabbi Dorsch
  • Candle lighting at 6:49 p.m. 
March 31
  • Shabbat and Passover services begin at 9:30 a.m. 
  • Candle lighting at 7:50 p.m.
April 1
  • Passover service begins at 9:30 a.m. Yizkor memorial prayers will be recited.
  • There is no Torah School 
  • Havdalah at 7:50 p.m.
April 2 - 6
  • Silverman Preschool is closed and will resume on April 9.
April 1 and 4
  • Torah School is closed and will resume on April 8.

The Butterfly Project        
April 8, 10:00 a.m.  
The Butterfly Project uses the lessons of the Holocaust to educate about the dangers of hatred and bigotry. 

All of our members and friends are invited to participate in this world-wide effort. In addition to painting butterflies, representatives from The Butterfly Project will be on site sharing information as well as the newly released film NOT the Last Butterfly.

Our website has all of the details about the day. Although our RSVP deadline has passed, we do have a limited number of additional butterflies available on a "first come first serve" basis. 
Learner's Minyan      
April 13, 7:30 a.m.  
Does attending morning Minyan feel intimidating? Fear not - help is on the way. 

Once a month, Rabbi Josh slows down the Minyan service so that we can all learn together to enhance our experience. Read more now
ADL'S Walk  Against Hate
April 15, 8:30 a.m.
Join our TIS team as part of this community-wide event bringing people together to stand up against bigotry and celebrate diversity. Everyone is invited to join us!  The Walk is kid-friendly and features activities to keep everyone entertained! Learn more now

TICO Concerts
April 7, 8:30 p.m. and 10, 7:30 p.m.
This will be the first-ever performance of this new work. Composed by John Luther, it joins the forces of the Tifereth Israel Community Orchestra, the East County Mormon Chorale, Cantor Larry Kornit, and shofar virtuoso Steven Ovitsky.  Click here for more details and to purchase tickets.

Aubrey Emerson-Rose Smith was born on Friday, March 16  at 12:01 p.m. weighing 6 lbs, 12 oz, and measured 18.5 inches. Congratulations to her parents, Mitzi and Justin, who were overjoyed to welcome Aubrey and have her complete their family, joining 2 year old big sister Molly Anabelle-Rose . Other family members thrilled with the new arrival were grandparents Miriam and Max Schleicher, Dr. Linda Fitts and Dr. Curtis Loer, uncle David Loer, and great-grandfather Emery Fitts.
