Beacon Arts Building "Critics As Curators"
Panel Discussion This Sunday July 3rd at 3pm
As TEL-ART-PHONE reaches its closing week, the Beacon Arts Building hosts a panel discussion as part of its ongoing "Critics As Curators" series.  The panel takes place this Sunday, July 3rd at 3pm, and we anticipate a panel of all previous critics who have participated in this series:  Mat Gleason, Shana Nys Dambrot, Peter Frank, David Pagel, & Doug Harvey.

Brunch is provided by IHOP, from 1-4pm, and the panel discussion begins promptly at 3pm.

Critics-as-Curators was the inaugural art exhibition series at the Beacon Arts Building.  In recognition of the gallery's first year, esteemed art critics and writers - recognized locally, nationally and internationally - have been invited to conceive and curate shows of their choosing at the Beacon Arts Building in conjunction with discussions, lectures, catalogues, or other ways to reveal the thought process behind why exhibition works are chosen with insight into their importance to the curator.

The Print edition of Coagula Art Journal was founded in 1992 as an antidote to the theory-addled and fashion-driven forces in the world of contemporary art.

Coagula remains clarity amidst the ambiguty of contemporary art and the neutered, star-struck art world; we don't fuck around here.
