New! Teen Library Council
Wednesday, March 8th, 3:15-4:30pm

The Library is excited to announce the formation of a new Teen Library Council. The TLC is a group of dedicated teens that meet each month to help make the library a better place for teens. The first meeting of the TLC is on Wednesday, March 8th, 3:15-4:30.

Do you wish there were more activities for teens in Beacon? Do you already enjoy the teen programs at the library but wish there were more? Would you like to suggest books and movies for the library to purchase? Then the Teen Library Council is for you!

Join the TLC and help create new library programs, select new books and movies, create book displays and decorate the teen area. TLC members can also design their own community service projects like building a little free library, planting a garden in front of the library or helping other local causes.

A special perk of being a member of the TLC is attending our annual book buying trip to Barnes & Noble. TLC volunteers will also receive community service credit for school, gain valuable leadership experience, and attend fun library programs and events. Being a member of the TLC is a fun way to give back to your community!

Stop by the library to pick up a TLC registration form or contact Michelle at community@beaconlibrary.org or 845-831-1134 x101.
