Redmond Model UN Conference Winners
RMS students participated in the Redmond Model UN (REDMUN) Conference on Saturday, January 13, at RHS. Conference attendees pretended to represent various nations to a mock meeting of the United Nations, discussing issues such as international terrorism and safeguarding healthcare during wartime. Rithika Madey, representing Sudan, won best position paper.

Honorable mentions for position papers went to Donovan O'Connor and Divij Aswinkumar, representing Syria, and Neha Madanagopal and Victoria Kurakata, representing Saudi Arabia. Honorable mention for best delegate team went to Pranavi Rohit and Di Mao, representing Israel. Next year, we anticipate two middle school conferences, so in the fall, we plan to begin a club at RMS so that all students may participate in Model UN.
