Tuesday, Sept. 4 - 1st Day of School - 8:00 arrival time with 8:10 start time for 6th grade & new 7th/8th graders; Returning 7th/8th grade = 10:30 arrival time with 10:50 start time. Schedules are handed out on arrival, report to the commons.
Wed. Sept. 5 - Laptop rollout for 6th & NEW 7th & 8th graders
Thurs. Sept. 6 - Laptop rollout for 7/8 graders NOT at Griz Biz; also Season 1 sports registration deadline
Fri. Sept. 7 - Picture Day
Fri. Sept. 7 - All Tech Day (mini lessons in class so students are set up with their computers)

New Social Studies Learning Standards - Public Review is now open!
Washington State is moving towards the adoption of new Social Studies K-12 Learning Standards! 

The Social Studies Cadre of Educators representing Social Studies, Civics, Economics, Geography, and History has been working to carefully review these standards and provide additional content with “Enduring Understanding” and sample questions that will support these standards.

August Membership Drive Winner

It's not too late to join and take advantage of all the benefits for your family while you demonstrate support for students at the school. Remember, votes at the state level are representative of the number of members our school has. With more members our voice in support of middle-school students carries more weight.

ASB
ASB  stands for Associated Student Body and it represents the interests and goals of the entire Redmond Middle School Student Body. At our school ASB is responsible for student clubs, sports, music, student government, the annual yearbook, and many other social and cultural activities.
Season 1 Sports Registration is Open!
Season 1 runs from September 10th - October 26th. Any athlete interested in Season 1 sports (Boys Basketball, Boys Tennis, and Cross Country) needs to have the forms and payment in by September 6th.
Fees can be paid online, go to the Parent Access Site parent.lwsd.org and log in. Then select online payments on the right, next choose your student and shop for items at your students school. You will want an ASB card and the athletic fees item.
Fund the Grizzlies  – Please donate to the Redmond Middle School Associated Student Body (ASB) to help fund student activities.

One of the benefits students receive from the district's partnership with the King County Library System is access to tutor.com through their online library account. Tutor.com provides one-on-one, real-time assistance for students in grades K-12, entry level college, and adult learners.
