It's no joke that this winter has been, well let's say, elusive. That is until last weekend when the Sierra Nevada got walloped with 5+ feet of snow that came in wet and heavy, got colder, and finished with a splash of champagne powder. And if that wasn't good enough, the current weather forecasts are calling for another storm arriving this weekend during the (rescheduled) Bear Valley Telemark Festival and Adventure Ski Race. So if you haven't already made plans to head up to Bear Valley for the best ski weekend of the year then now is the time to get motivated. But don't forget your to pack your shovel to dig your car out when it's time to return home.
