Beauty For Ashes! 9/7/16
GREETINGS from Foley/Gulf Shores, AL.-LOWER LA!!!
I just CONSUMED my 4th Seafood Platter after planting my feet in the Gulf Of Mexico.
Life is GOOD!!!!
Tonight, I have the PLEASURE and HONOR of singing and preaching to my Foley Church FAMILY and this sermon is directed at my live audience.
I PRAY it ministers to YOU, my DEAR CHURCH!!!!!!!!
Most of you know my story!
The Atlanta Journal ran a FRONT PAGE STORY on me three years ago and it was the AJC Editor who first labeled me, "THE MODERN DAY JOB!
I dare not call myself, "a perfect and upright man, one that fearest God, and escheweth evil," BUT I am SAVED, WASHED IN THER BLOOD, AND LOVE JESUS!!!!
Job 1:8 (KJV)
8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
I HAVE "had many tears and sorrow!"
I HAVE "had questions for tomorrow!"
AND YES, "there've been times I didn't know right from wrong."
2002, I awoke to a DEAD grandson lying beside me in bed-5 and ½ months old-SIDS!
2003-My youngest daughter-the mother of the afore mentioned deceased grandson-pronounced dead!
God had mercy on me though, and she is here with me on this trip.
Severely handicapped and unable to attend tonight's service-BUT she is ALIVE!!!
2004, My youngest son confesses a MURDER to me his dad.
He is now on Georgia's DEATH ROW, facing execution via lethal injection.
2008, my physical Church is lost due to the severe recession.
2009, my beloved wife diagnosed with a malignant tumor in her face.
The tumor was surgically removed and she is alive and well, BUT the treatmernt caused her to be unable to swallow solid food.
She weighs 95 lbs. And is unable to enjoy real food.
2013, my oldest daughter dies on the cold floor of the county jail due to neglect and medical malpractice.
2014, my oldest grandson; the son of my deceased oldest daughter, drops dead in front of my eyes from END STAGE RENAL DISEASE.
He was only 22 and I had raised him from the day he was born.
Please allow me now to refer back to the song I HAVE sang:
KEY WORD IS HAVE-PAST TENSE:

I am tired of/don't want to talk about/focus on what I HAD and/or LOST, but I want to concentrate on what I HASVE and am gonna receive from my Lord and Savior!!!
