October 23, 2017

Dear Neighbors

Th e 10-day forecast for the Rimrock / Lake Montezuma area is for great sunny weather.  With the exception of today (high may be in low 90's) the rest of the days are predicted to by in the 70's and 80's with lows in the 50's and upper 40's.  This October continues to earn its reputation for the best month of the year!

Tonight several administrators of the Arizona Water Company hosted by BCCA will be at the Beaver Creek Ad ult Center starting at 6 PM to give us some insight into the ongoing project seen along Montezuma Ave and the completed project on Top 'O The Morning.  We will learn about their future plans for improvement and a proposed new well to be located on Wickiup Mesa.  Hopefully those in attendance will come away from the meeting with some good information about the condition of the water system.  Lots has been said by customers about the water leaks and outages for repairs.  This is your opportunity for input and understanding.

Saturday morning starts with a one-mile cleanup of Beaver Creek Rd led by members of the Verde Valley Ancestral Gardens who could use some additional volunteers.  It is followed by another super Wickiup Mesa Trails hike led by Susan Sim of the Beaver Creek Trails Coalition.  Then come get a free hot dog lunch at the Montezuma Rimrock Fire Station provided by the Montezuma Rimrock Fire Auxiliary. Tuesday next week is the annual Halloween Spooktacular in Rollins Park and that Saturday brings us the annual Arts, Crafts and Bake Sale at the Beaver Creek Adult Center (inside and outside).

Heads up that installation of a new light at Cherry Creek Rd on SR 260 may cause intermittent delays during the week.  More information is below.

See you at the Arizona Water Company presentation & a bunch of other events,
