In-store Clinic - Getting Ready for The Big Day!

Whether you're a first time runner, you've run a few races or you're a veteran, each race is its own animal. Maybe it's the course, the season or what's going on in your life, getting ready and making it happen can be daunting...and the big day is going to come faster than you think. Well, you don't have to sweat it alone. Give yourself a better chance to cross the finish line and join us for an in-store workshop hosted by Llouana Harper, LPC of Group Therapy Associates in Haymarket. Come and learn how to identify the potential roadblocks to your race day success and creative strategies to get past them. We look forward to seeing you at the store on September 18, 2012 from 7 -8PM so we want to help you conquer the stuff that's getting in the way.

| Beginning Running Class
|  Have you always wanted to run but aren't sure how to get started? Returning to running after a long injury or lay off? If so, join us for our Beginning Running program. This program is a good bridge from walking to running. The program begins with a series of run/walk workouts and builds up to running an entire 5k race of your choice.
The 8 week program begins on Monday, September 10th at 10 AM on Monday and Wednesday mornings in Bristow. The program fee is $150 ($175 for non-VIP members) for the 8 week session.
The program includes twice weekly coached group workouts, a detailed training schedule and educational materials on various running related topics such as nutrition & hydration, core strength, injury prevention and much more! | Youth Cross Country |  The TRS Youth Track and Cross Country program was created with the sole purpose of providing all kids grades K-8, regardless of their natural talent and abilities, with the opportunity to develop and pursue a life-long love of fitness. Our Fall Youth Cross Country season runs from September 18th - October 25th and we will practice Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Nokesville Park. Our focus remains on creating a fun environment where your child will develop proper form and discipline to improve speed, agility, endurance and performance. | Petzl TIKKINA 2 & TIKKA XP HeadLamps In Stock |  The days are getting shorter! We now have the TIKKINA 2 & TIKKA XP headlamps in stock. The TIKKINA 2 headlamp is designed to meet most everyday lighting needs. It has two lighting modes (maximum and economic) to adapt light quantity to the situation. It is also equipped with new, improved performance LEDs and a push-button switch. The compartment now has an easy-to-use system that allows the user to very easily change the batteries or to equip the headlamp with the ADAPT mounting system.
With its Lithium Ion Polymer CORE battery, the TIKKA XP2 CORE headlamp is designed for intensive use. This headlamp integrates two light sources as well as a Wide Angle lens with assisted open-close feature, allowing the user to choose between a long distance focused beam and flood beam proximity lighting. It is equipped with a white high-output LED and a red LED. The red LED provides back-up lighting useful for preserving night vision, or strobe lighting for increased safety. With the OS by Petzl software, the user can customize headlamp performance in a number of ways to adapt the lighting intensity or battery life to the type of activity. |
