We've given you a few hints before, but we are excited to finally share the full line-up of Belmont World Film's Family Festival: Kid Power! , running January 15-18, 2016, at the Regent Theater in Arlington and the Studio Cinema in Belmont. The films in the festival are filled with youthful exuberance and enthusiasm, demonstrating the amazing things that kids can do, even at an early age.

We are proud that our opening night film, a special 75th anniversary screening of Disney's classic Fantasia, is also the kick-off to the Regent Theater's Through the Decades Classic Film Series that's part of their 100th anniversary year. Each subsequent full day of the festival is programmed around its own theme: the power of magic on Saturday, caring for the environment on Sunday, and honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday.

They had no money for real instruments, so "Cola", one of the garbage pickers and an untutored genius of the slum, got together with local musician Favio Chávez to make instruments for the children made entirely out of garbage-violins and cellos from oil drums, flutes from water pipes and spoons, guitars from packing crates. When their story goes viral, they realize their dream of performing live with their favorite band, Megadeth, as well as others, catapulting them into the global spotlight.
