During Mrs. Bien's maternity leave, we are pleased to announce that Ms. Davis has temporarily returned from her retirement to join us on Tuesday, Wednesday and 1/2 days on Thursday to cover Mrs. Bien's duties.

I'd also like to welcome a new staff member to BFCCPS, Miss Caitlyn Troy is our new Assistant Math Specialist and building substitute. Miss Troy will be working closely with Ms. Davis, BFCCPS math teachers and assisting students in grades K-8. You can read more about Miss Troy's background here

Every Penny Counts
Donation buckets are available and the classroom with the highest contributions will win a pizza party donated by Whole Foods Bellingham.

Sign up to participate in a Fashion Show to be held on Saturday, May 9th with clothing provided by Old Navy and The Gap. Please see this online form for signup details!

Students are also invited to create artwork of themselves performing acts of kindness, which will then hang in the store windows at the Shoppes at Bellingham. Completed drawings can be sent to Mrs. Basile in the front office. All three programs benefit the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition.

Let's get busy and clean out those closets for a good cause!

The BFFCPS 6th graders and the Epilepsy Foundation of New England are collecting gently used clothing during the month of April. All donations benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of New England and their programs. Thank you for your participation! Program details and a list of needed items can be found here.

Board of Trustees:

The Board of Trustees is looking for interested members of our community to serve. The BFCCPS Board of Trustees is the governing body of the school and custodian of the school's mission.

Comprised of parents, teachers and community members with a variety of skills, the Board of Trustees oversees the school's adherence to the mission, and the financial health of the school. The Board of Trustees is also responsible for strategic planning, which includes creating shared goals and objectives for school improvement, and developing and maintaining its policies.

All parents are encouraged to consider nominating themselves and/or other parents or community members who they think would be effective board members. It is helpful, but not necessary, if nominees have been active in the school community and/or possess specific skills that enhance the board such as finance, all aspects of facilities development, project management, human resources, public relations or other governing board experience.

Please send inquiries to: Sagar Kamarthi at skamarthi@bfccps.org by May 31.
