Yom Atzmaut Sameach! Happy Birthday and Independence Day Israel! We hope you enjoy this video of the Middle School Daglanut (Flag Dance) performance. The students spent many weeks practicing for this special moment which helped kick off our day full of celebrations in honor of Israel's 70th.
Ultimate Parsha
In this week's Torah reading, Tazria-Metzora, we learn that the gift of life -- the single most amazing act of creation -- imparts the giver with a degree of ritual impurity. Why is it that an act of such sanctity and Divine character is combined with elements usually associated with emptiness and the absence of spirituality? Perhaps this reality serves as a reminder that simply giving birth is not enough. Each child must be raised and nurtured to have a relationship with the true creator, Hashem, in order to complete the true miracle of life.

Thank you to Rafi and Stacey Engelhart, Shira Reches, and Osi Bronner for coordinating the touching and meaningful ceremony.
