We didn't officially win our playoff games played on Tuesday, but our teams gave it their all and played phenomenally well all season. Well done guys and girls! Kol Hakavod!

Is a 529 Right for You?

Day school parents in our communities should consider opening 529 accounts for each of their children. Of course, you should consult with your personal accountant or financial adviser with regard to your individual circumstances. But with the expansion provided by the new tax law, there are ways for day school parents to benefit.

The greatest financial benefit derived from 529 accounts is depositing funds as early as possible and allowing them to accrue tax free gains over a period of years. Depositing funds in the early years of a child’s life can lead to substantial funds by the time that child reaches middle- or high- school age. Parents might also be able to benefit from the state tax deduction for 529 account deposits on a shorter term basis; you should consult with your financial adviser to explore other options.

Additional Support

We are excited to welcome Janelle Walker, LMSW School Counselor with Catapult Learning, to RMBA. Janelle has been assisting students with challenges that may be affecting the learning process (for example: a student with anxiety). Janelle works with the students on a one-on-one basis and in groups as needed. She in on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are excited to be able to offer this additional support for our students.

ReelAbilites

The Jewish Family Service's Alexander Institute for Inclusion was at the school today to present ReelAbilities films to our Lower and Upper School students. The Institute works to foster a community that includes all individuals by striving to eliminate the stigma associated with disabilities. This is part of the JFS Film Festival running this month.

Gumballs for Everyone!

Morah Heather's EC4 class had a sweet time decorating custom t-shirts in celebration of their 100th day in school this year. Each student counted out 100 fuzzy balls and glued the "gum" balls to white t-shirts which they decorated. They were excited to show off their new fashions to our office staff.

Split the Pot

We are excited to announce our first ever Split the Pot raffle! Help support the school by purchasing a raffle ticket, and you will have the chance to win 50% of the proceeds. 100 Days Smarter

Students in Mrs. Schneider's 1st grade class were eager to bring in collections from home which featured 100 pieces in honor of the 100th day of their learning this year. Home collections included 100 pieces of candy (a favorite!), 100 pieces of Shopkins, 100 pencils, 100 almonds, and 100 Cheerios.

Day of Learning - Parnas Hayom

We want to share with you a new way of giving and supporting RMBA that is now available to you. RMBA's Day of Learning/ Parnas Hayom (Supporter of the Day) gives you the opportunity to honor or memorialize a loved one through the voices of our students learning Torah.
