Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade had a fantastic time at their end-of-year trip to the Bayou Wildlife Zoo in Alvin. Students enjoyed a safari ride featuring over 500 different animals and birds which they had the opportunity to feed, horse rides and a petting zoo. What a fun way to end the school year!
Class of 2017

Congratulations to the Class of 2017 who graduated on May 25th! We welcome Natanya Abramson, Rivca Berdichevsky, Deborah Brown, Matthew Garner, Benjamin Gelman, Chaim Gerlitz, Shalom Korn, Nathan Lashak, Shira Levitt, Sigal Melnik, Adina Passy, Goldie Serwatien, and Brian Shepetofsky as our newest RMBA alum. Marion and Norman Rosenman Early Childhood Center & Program

On May 26th, The Marion and Norman Rosenman Early Childhood Center and Program was officially dedicated by Mindy Mitzner and her children, RMBA alumni, Steven Mitzner, Laura Mitzner Paletz, and Michael Mitzner. The new building opened last year to accommodate increased enrollment. In a very touching ceremony Mindy, Steven, Laura and Michael all spoke about why Jewish education was so important to The Rosenmans z"l, and the meaningful relationships they had. We are very honored to have Marion and Norman Rosenman's legacy live on at RMBA.
Splash Day

Early Childhood students were treated to a fun Splash Day by the PTO! Children learned all about the importance of sun safety, enjoyed breakfast bites, and the beautiful weather! Thank you to PTO president Dawne Yarmush for coordinating the fun morning. Click here to check out additional pictures.
Hebrew Spelling Bee

On Monday students in Giveret Erlichman's 1st and 4th grades went head to head in a Hebrew spelling bee. The students were challenged to spell out the Hebrew word and then show their comprehension by using it in a full Hebrew sentence. Everyone did exceptionally well!
Rice University-Impressions

On May 24th upper school students (l-r) Gavi Tierman, Shira Garner, Molly Goldstein, Stav Chen, and Shir Carasso in Mrs. Kusin's class, were invited to Rice University for a Spring reading and celebration. Impressions is a collection of the writtings of children whose teachers have come to Rice University all year to participate in their Writing and Arts Seminar. Click here to read the students work.
ABC Aleph Bet Siyum

On Tuesday, students in the EC4 performed in a small classroom performance for their family and friends. Students recited both English and Hebrew songs and tefillot (prayers) incorporating both the English and Hebrew alphabet. The kids are very excited to graduate preschool and move on to Kindergarten. Kol Hakavod EC4!

An Eye and a Brain

Students in Ms. Goldstein's 6th grade class learned all about the external and internal anatomy of cephalopods, and then dissected squid. Pictured above are Raizel Gerlitz and Alina Goldfine holding an eye and a brain.
8th Grade Dinner

Students and their families were invited to RMBA for the 8th grade dinner celebrating the students graduation to High School. Members of the 8th grade class gave their remarks reflecting on their year, and a student slideshow was shown. Please click here to view the slideshow. 
2017 Bronfman Fellow

Congratulations to 11th grade student Adam Hoffman who was selected as a recipient of The Bronfman Fellowship. Adam was chosen as one of 26 Fellows from over 250 applicants. The highly selective fellowship educates and inspires exceptional young Jews from diverse backgrounds to become active participants in Jewish culture throughout their lives, and to contribute their talents and vision to the Jewish community and to the world at large. Kol Hakavod Adam!
