A Purim Celebration
A great time was had by all who attended the joint RMBA and UOS Purim celebration in honor of Dena and Baruch Brody, who significantly contributed to the Houston Jewish Community. Guests enjoyed a Purim Spiel, a delicious Mexican feast, and dancing, but most importantly the lesson of the evening was just how important volunteerism is. We wish Dena and Baruch the best of luck in their new home in Israel. We will miss them greatly!
Congratulations to high school students Bracha Teigman (left) and Leora Geralnik (right) for winning the high school Purim costume contest! Students enjoyed strutting their costumes for a panel of judges who selected the most creative ones. We loved all the creativity and the fun ruach (spirit) which emanated the school halls!
Students in EC2 enjoyed learning new Shabbat songs in their music class this week! Various rainmakers were passed out for the students to join in the fun! Pictured (l-r) are Dominic Hunsinger and Tzvi Meckley.
Fun for Everyone!
The RMBA Fun Run was officially kicked off on Wednesday at various pep rallies powered by the Boosterthon Team for grades K-12th. Students are fired up and excited to start collecting pledges and participate in the 9 day program that concludes with a Fun Run and Color Run on March 24th! To register or sponsor a student please visit www.funrun.com.
1,179 Cumulative Miles
On Wednesday March 3rd, 45 students in first through third grades completed the final mile of the 26.2 miles to finish their first marathon. The participating children have been running one mile each day at recess to realize this goal. Congratulations to all of the finishers and a special thank you to 1st grade teacher Mirit Schneider for bringing this wonderful program to our school which helps instill the importance of physical fitness in everyday lives. We hope to expand the program and continue it yearly! Please click here to view pictures from the celebration.
Skip and Spell
Students in Coach Cole's class enjoyed the beautiful weather and had their PE class outside. Students played a fun jump rope game where they had to spell out their name and not miss a skip.
