Ultimate Parsha
One recent Sunday I attended the funeral of a beloved 85-year old man, the bris (circumcision) of a friend's son, and then the wedding of the daughter of friends. For quite some time I pondered the events of the day and how they might be connected.

Better 2 Lead

We are very excited to pilot a new program piggybacking on the successful Better Together, called Better 2 Lead. Congratulations to Tali Miller, Dina Kirshner, Adam Hoffman, Coral Vaknin, and Leora Geralnik who have been selected to lead and implement a drama program at the local Jewish assisted-living residence The Medallion. We want to thank Legacy Heritage Fund for their generosity in sponsoring the amazing program, and the many wonderful high school applicants who applied to the program.
Letter of the Week

"Bb" was the Letter of the Week in Morah Aviva's EC4 younger class! The children were so excited to bring items from home that begin with the letter "Bb" for Share and Tell.
Whack- a- Word

As a way to reinforce the reading and spelling of sight words, first grade plays "Whack-a-Word"! Each student has an alphabet chart and a hammer. As the class reads the sight words together, the students "whack" the correct letters. What a fun way to learn!
A Special Breakfast

To celebrate with all the students who handed in completed summer packets, students in 1st through 5th grades were invited to a delicious celebratory breakfast. Everyone enjoyed delicious waffles with whipped cream, bananas, cereal and chocolate milk. First grade students and all new RMBA students were invited as a welcome to RMBA lower school.
Data Collection

Morah Rinat's 9th and 10th grade Hebrew classes tasted many different types of honey as a way to representing information through various methods.
Ulpan Maasi

Ulpan Maasi kicked off last week with an exciting activity learning all about Israel. Bnot Sherut Shira and Osi helped the students create Israeli passports, play bingo, and learn a song about Israel. The theme of Ulpan Maasi this year will be all the different cities in Israel, each lesson being a different destination in Israel.
Story of the Universe

Montessori grades 1st through 3rd got to enjoy learning all about the Story of the Universe, both according to the Big Bang Theory and the Torah. Students learned some of the rules of the universe such as gravity and centripetal force.
