The 8th annual Baldwin Cup took place April 10-12, 2015. This regatta reserves invitations for the most elite sailors around the country (and a few from across the pond).

The 26 Harbor 20s at the Baldwin Cup weren't the only H20s sailing this past week. A total of 91 Harbor 20s sailed an incredible 1,398 race-starts last week.
No other keelboat can even come close. The most actively sailed keelboat on earth just keeps racking up records.
The Baldwin regatta is a series of round-robin races of 4X4 in Harbor 20s. "This is the extent of your hiking right here- an arm up on the rail, it's pretty nice, cushion seats..." (Perry Emsiek, NHYC). Competitors love the luxury of racing in sportboats with cupholders because of the level of comfort.
"I do love the Harbor 20s. It's just such civilized racing, I mean, you hardly get wet, and you're able to sail in t-shirt and shorts. I love Newport and I love the Harbor 20!" (Harrison Turner, St. Francis Yacht Club).
It's also a great way to spend a weekend with your special someone.

Or even meet someone special. Cheap beer certainly doesn't hurt either.
The racers aren't the only ones who had a good time this weekend. The Baldwin Cup is very spectator- friendly. The Club opens its doors to the community, and
offers cold 25 cent beers with their Southern Californian Hospitality.
100+ races, 12 teams, 3 days, 1 Cup.
This wonderful weekend runs smoothly thanks to the talented pit crew.
"It takes an army and I think NHYC has a great army," (Perry Emsiek, NHYC). These guys keep everything flowing, which makes so many races possible.
"We feel like we're in the World Cup, it's absolutely amazing!" (Ryan Costello, Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club). This first class experience wouldn't be possible without the many
volunteers. The amount of support members provide for the Baldwin Cup is one of the many benefits of

this team really makes the whole Baldwin experience unforgettable.

After three intense but diverting days out on the water, NHYC Thunder came out victorious just like in 2014 Baldwin Cup.

2013 champs, Larchmont Yacht Club of Larchmont, NY came in second followed by 2008 champs, Southern Yacht Club of New Orleans, LA.
