In the first reading, the prophet Ezekiel describes a river flowing - when it runs into the Dead Sea, everything flourishes. Wherever the water goes, it brings health and life; without water, there is no life.

I think that the flowing water iis symbolic of the life that Jesus gives  us - the life he wants us to share with him. The living water is Jesus Christ himself. This reading ties in nicely to the gospel where a sick man cannot get up to get to the water - so the living water, Jesus Christ, comes to him.

During Lent, we can experience the healing power and love of Jesus Christ.

Spend time with the living water, Jesus Christ, as we all need the touch of him in our lives.
