URJ-Kesher Trips to Israel

As our congregational trip will soon be traveling to Israel, URJ-Kesher and Taglit-Birthright trips are other opportunities for travel to Israel. URJ Kesher is a Taglit-Birthright Israel trip organizer. Each trip is 10-days and absolutely free. Eligible participants are Jewish, ages 18-26 and seeking a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore Israel. URJ Kesher is part of Reform Judaism. The Genius of Jewish-Storytelling: A Literary Journey from the Bible to Modern Israel

Is there a distinct "Jewish" narrative? This class will consist of close reading of representative tales from the Bible, stories by S.A. Agnon, the only Hebrew Nobel Prize winner, and other distinguished contemporary Israeli writers Amos Oz, Aharon Appelfeld, and David Grossman.
