About: The cities of Edina, Minnetonka, St. Louis Park, and Hopkins will be proclaimed as the Yellow Ribbon Network of the Southwest Twin Cities. The ceremony will take place at the Hopkins Downtown Park at 40 9th Avenue South and will be followed by an outdoor community concert by recording artist Beau Davidson. |

| Minnesota Cyber Aces Competition | |
When: Registration opens Sept. 3; First-round competition starts Oct. 15
Where: Inver Hills Community College, Inver Grove Heights
About: During the 2013-14 academic school year, IHCC will host the Minnesota Cyber Aces State Competition, a two-part competition open to all Minnesotans, with a special focus on veterans. The competition is being held to find the more than 10,000 cyber warriors needed by the Department of Homeland Security to protect the nation's digital infrastructure. |
