Greetings!

As December 31 nears, the end of our annual fundraising campaign at Diabetes

Hands Foundation (the nonprofit that runs TuDiabetes.org) is also getting close.

Since 2007, tens of thousands of members on TuDiabetes have seen the
impact the community makes in their lives. We picked the stories of Amy and
David, to remind you of the difference your donation can make.
Amy's son Jacob loves the outdoors. He has type 1 diabetes and he is beginning to act like a teenager.

This community has helped me cope with my son's diabetes more than anything else... Here, people get me, we are all touched by Diabetes whether we have it or have loved one's with it... I have also found it life helping others helps you, so if I can help anyone here just a bit it is worth it.  Thanks for the support!

David lives in the wilds of Washington state, loves his cat, is an "almost gourmet" cook, and has type 2 diabetes.

The depth of knowledge and experience is impressive, but you'd expect that in a community of 25,000 people. What just floors me is the cooperative spirit and the lack of egos.  That sort of thing is EXACTLY what takes my breath away, about [TuDiabetes].

The way people flock to each others' assistance. It's like white cells rushing to the site of an infection .

Since November 19, we have raised just over $15,000. Our goal is to raise at least $20,000 before the end of 2012.

Please help us make this wonderful community available to more people like Amy and David all over the world. Your support will help improve the lives of many more people touched by diabetes.

You can donate securely online or mail your donation to Diabetes Hands Foundation, 1962 University Ave. #1, Berkeley, CA 94704. Donations by U.S. residents are tax deductible. Also, we invite you to please consider asking your friends and family to support the Diabetes Hands Foundation. Every donation gets us closer to our goal!

Very sincerely,

The TuDiabetes Team at Diabetes Hands Foundation

About Us

We, at the Diabetes Hands Foundation believe no one touched by diabetes should ever feel alone, because together we become stronger and have the power to generate positive change in ourselves and our community. Diabetes can be a very isolating disease, so we provide platforms where people with diabetes and their loved ones can connect and have an open dialog about their experiences with this chronic condition. Instead of looking at the disease, Diabetes Hands Foundation seeks to understand, connect and energize the millions of people living with this condition.
