BTR Mission Statement: To glorify God through a national ministry which will continue to change lives based on the belief that "Christ is All and in All."
As 2017 comes to a close, we want to update you on the preservation of Don's teaching materials and share some exciting news regarding the future of Bible Teaching Resources (BTR).
The preservation project is approximately 85% complete. This includes the scanning and organization of Don's study guides, lecture notes, charts and even a topical index of quotes from the 900 plus books Don used in his teachings. All of this has been done in accordance with Don's wishes in order that YOU can continue to use these teachings at church, home and Bible study groups.
Currently, theses resources are stored in a protected Google drive account. The next phase of the preservation project is to make these materials available on the BTR website. In order to accomplish this objective, improvements will need to be made to the BTR website. We will keep you informed of our progress through the BTR weekly email and also the website.
The new board of directors is pleased to announce that long-time BTR staff members, Kathleen Leo and Genevieve Martin will continue their roles as office coordinator and project coordinator, respectively.
As many of you know, Pearl's passion for many years was the Prison Ministry. We continue to receive many requests for Life Recovery Bibles and daily devotionals. The opportunity to continue to share the gospel with these individuals is tremendous as noted in the following excerpt from an inmate: "I love the Lord with all my heart, soul and mind, but sometimes I hurt. I get tired as well as I just want to be able to withstand this trial." Kathleen has agreed to continue this powerful and much needed ministry.
Your past gifts as well as prior board planning has enabled Pearl to be provided for in the short and long term. We are very thankful for these provisions. Kathleen and Genevieve interact with Pearl on a weekly basis and she continues to read the mail and sign receipt letters.
With Pearl and the Anderson family's blessings, some of the members of the Discipleship groups Don had started and a few of the long-term board members have agreed to serve as directors of the new board. Pearl will serve as Director Emeritus.
We want to thank you for your faithful support during Don's 44 year ministry and since his passing. We pray that your heart has been stirred by the opportunity to continue Don's ministry through the preservation of his resources and reconstruction of the BTR website in order to make these resources more readily available for use and sharing.
We are excited for what God has in store for BTR in 2018 as we continue to preserve and press on in fulfilling Don's wishes for a lasting legacy of Bible Teaching Resources.
Very truly yours,
Walter K. Wilhelmi on behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff
