Greetings!
What a busy and exciting month June has been for us here at Tektivity. We've been working hard on some major projects! There are three huge announcements we would like to share with you!
Number 1: Tektivity accuires MSC Technologies, see the full story below.
Number 2: We launched our newly designed managed services packages to better fit your IT needs.
Last, but definitely not least,
Number 3: WE HAVE A NEW WEBSITE! Well, not yet. We're releasing the new site on Friday, June 29, so make sure to check it out. Feedback is always welcomed.
You know, they say work hard, play hard, and we have been doing just that. Our Tekteam participated in the 20th Annual Volley-4-Education volleyball tournament on June 1, which was a blast! We got to compete among other Cedar Rapids businesses. We also held a Grill and Chill at our headquarters on June 16 where clients came to enjoy grilled hamburgers and homemade potato salad. Mmm! (See pictures of both events on our Facebook page!).

July Tektip
URL shorteners (example: tiny url, tiny.cc, google shortener, etc) have become very popular, they make long hyperlinks shorter.
Protect yourself from malware, spyware, and phishing.
Before you click on any shortened URL, make sure you trust the source and you know where the link is taking you. There are also websites, URL lengtheners, where you can copy and paste the shortened URL to find out where the link will really take you.

| Tektivity Expands Services with Acquisition of MSC Technologies, Inc |

We are pleased to announce the recent acquisition of a network and application consulting company - MSC Technologies, Inc. MSC joined Tektivity on June 1, 2012.
MSC Technologies specializes in providing application and network performance consulting services for medium to enterprise level companies: specifically application network-ability assessments (ANA), network performance troubleshooting, and deep level packet analysis.
By joining forces with MSC, Tektivity is able to broaden its services to a wider array of robust solutions. MSC will also bolster Tektivity's regional growth
Michael Canney, former president of MSC Technologies, heads the new Network Analysis division at Tektivity. Over the past 22 years, Canney has helped hundreds of companies identify and resolve their application and network performance issues. He has also developed coursework and taught engineers how to identify, remediate, and prevent network and application issues by analyzing traffic flows at the packet level.
Tektivity has acquired four other businesses since 2005, Palmer Communications in 2005, Iowa Electronics in early 2010, Iowa City Telecommunications in late 2010, and Choice Telecom in 2011.
